OREANDA-NEWS  The total volume of Russian exports of cars of all types by 2035 is planned to more than double compared to 2026 - up to 70 thousand units of equipment, follows from the text of the updated strategy for the development of the Russian automotive industry until 2035.

Earlier on Monday, the Russian government approved an updated strategy for the development of the automotive industry until 2035. Its main task, according to First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, is to maximize the utilization of the country's automotive production facilities.

Thus, the targets of the updated strategy indicate that by the end of 2026, the volume of exports of Russian cars will amount to approximately 29.7 thousand units. By 2030, it is planned to increase this figure to 49.7 thousand units, and by 2035 - to 69.7 thousand units.

The strategy suggests considering neighboring markets and friendly states in the regions of Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, Southeast Asia and Latin America as target export markets.

The measures to support exports include updating existing support measures, primarily to compensate for part of the cost of transporting products; developing and implementing subsidized preferential loans for Russian automakers abroad and supporting demand for Russian products on foreign markets; improving the effectiveness of international financial settlement mechanisms and ensuring a favorable customs regime with target export markets.

In addition, it is necessary to support the use of Russian automotive technology in the implementation of projects abroad (as gratuitous aid or commodity-monetary loans to friendly states).
