OREANDA-NEWS The number of stations for charging electric vehicles in Russia has doubled over the past year.

As of April 18, 2023, 1,664 electric vehicle charging stations are operating in Russia, which is 105 percent more than a year ago. The largest number of such points is now in Moscow (300 stations), Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Krasnoyarsk, St. Petersburg and Kazan are also in the leaders.

The capital of Sakhalin has become the only city in the top with a population of less than one million people — according to the latest census, only 181.5 thousand people live in the city. Last year, the number of installed stations in the Sakhalin region reached a record 164, and a significant part of them falls on the regional center.
