Aliev allocated two million dollars to Ukraine

OREANDA-NEWS Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has allocated two million dollars for humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The head of the republic signed a corresponding decree, the Report agency reports.
According to the document, funds from the reserve fund of the President of Azerbaijan will be allocated to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine. They will be used to purchase and ship electrical equipment.
"Based on the principles of humanism, the Republic of Azerbaijan provides humanitarian assistance to many countries of the world on a bilateral and multilateral basis," the document says. The agency also clarifies that relations between Kiev and Baku are based on friendship and partnership. The relevant provisions were fixed in a bilateral document dated 2022.
Earlier it became known that Baku may lift the arms embargo on Kiev if the Russian Armed Forces continue to attack Azerbaijani gas facilities in Ukraine.
