The incident occurred on the evening of March 4. At 21:30 local time, the pop star's car was stopped by the highway patrol. By three o'clock in the morning, her arrest was registered with the Ventura County Sheriff's Department, and at six o'clock in the morning, Spears was released. After that, she went to the hospital to check her blood alcohol level.
"It was an unfortunate—and unforgivable —incident. Britney intends to act with integrity and in accordance with the law. Let's hope that this will be the first step towards long—overdue changes in her life," Kate Hudson, a representative of the artist, said in a comment on Page Six.
Earlier on February 26, Spears forgot to put on a bra before appearing in a video for her social networks and became embarrassed in front of fans.
