OREANDA-NEWS The statement by US President Donald Trump that Iran allegedly requested a meeting with American negotiators is not true. This was stated by the representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Bagai, according to TASS.
"We have not received any requests for a meeting with the American side," he said.
It is clarified that, according to Trump, Tehran "asked for a meeting" and stated that if, as a result of the negotiations, it would be possible to "fix something on paper, it would be good."
Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that Turkey had conveyed to Iran the US position on the possibility of resuming negotiations on the nuclear program. He noted that now there is uncertainty in this regard.
