OREANDA-NEWS French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a declaration of intent regarding the deployment of multinational forces on Ukrainian territory after the cessation of hostilities, the French newspaper Figaro reports.
The signing took place as part of a meeting in Paris between representatives of the Coalition of Willing countries.
Macron, commenting on the results of the meeting, assured that the United States had expressed its readiness to participate in mechanisms for monitoring the ceasefire.
In turn, Starmer said that the signing of the declaration of intent "gives a start to work on the legal preparation of an option in which the military could be sent to Ukraine." He suggested that France and the United Kingdom could deploy "military hubs" on Ukrainian territory.
Earlier, the special envoy of the American president, Steve Witkoff, announced progress in consultations on security guarantees for Ukraine.
