OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian Federation has significant military power and poses a serious threat to NATO member states, said the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Mark Rutte. He is quoted by RIA Novosti.

"No matter what Russia's military power is — and it is significant now, given its huge investments in the defense budget — they do not have the bureaucracy that we have, so they can make decisions faster, easier and switch to a military economy," the Secretary General said, talking about Russia's military potential.

Earlier, the British newspaper Financial Times, commenting on the new American national security strategy, suggested that the United States could withdraw from NATO in the future. The publication also admitted Washington's rapprochement with Moscow.
