OREANDA-NEWS. Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki urged not to issue Schengen visas to Russian citizens, with the exception of humanitarian ones, RIA Novosti reports.

“Strong sanctions must be imposed on Russian society. The ban on issuing visas to Russians, except for humanitarian ones, ”the politician said during a press conference in Warsaw.

The Prime Minister proposed to provide visas only to those who want to move from Russia.

Earlier, Morawiecki called for the speedy organization of a European Union summit on the topic of the Russian Federation and sanctions due to the events in the Ukrainian village of Bucha.

“I demand the speedy convening of the European Council on Russian crimes and effective sanctions measures,” Morawiecki said.

With such a demand, the head of the Polish government made, accusing the Russian side of committing crimes in the village of Bucha in the Kiev region.

According to the Prime Minister of Poland, "all the perpetrators of these crimes - both indirect and direct - must be severely punished by international tribunals."

Morawiecki added that the European Union should confiscate all the property of the Russian Federation in the banks of Western Europe, the property of Russian oligarchs and break off all trade relations with Russia.

“Ukraine needs to get more weapons so that it can protect children and women from Bucha, from Mariupol and hundreds of other places,” the Polish prime minister stressed.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry denied accusations by the Kiev regime of crimes allegedly committed by the Russian Armed Forces against civilians in the village of Bucha, Kiev region.
