OREANDA-NEWS  Rosselkhoznadzor will restrict the import of stone fruits and grapes from Armenia from June 2. This is reported on the agency's website.

It is noted that cases of violations in the supply of fruits to Russia have become more frequent, which the Rosselkhoznadzor has notified Armenia about.

"Considering that recently the products supplied from Armenia have not met the phytosanitary requirements of the EAEU and Russia, it can be assumed that the Ministry of Economy of Armenia is experiencing structural problems and is not coping with the powers assigned to it after the abolition of the Ministry of Agriculture," the message says.

In this regard, starting from June 2, temporary restrictions will be imposed on the import of cherries, cherries, apricots, plums, peaches, nectarines and grapes fresh from Armenia, as well as on the transit of these products to the EAEU member states until an appropriate algorithm is developed to ensure the safety of shipped products.

In addition, starting from June 2, Armenia needs to suspend veterinary certification of live fish and fish products for export to Russia.
