OREANDA-NEWS Russians should not take photos and videos while traveling in Iran, and they must strictly comply with local laws, according to the Russian Embassy in the republic.

"In order to prevent undesirable incidents and involuntary offenses, Russian citizens are strongly advised to refrain from taking photos and videos when traveling to the Islamic Republic of Iran, strictly follow the requirements of local legislation and exercise reasonable caution and prudence," the diplomatic mission said in a statement posted on its telegram channel.

Since 2023, a mechanism for group visa-free tourist trips has been operating between Russia and Iran. It can be used by citizens traveling as part of organized tourist groups (from 5 to 50 people) for a period of no more than 15 days.
