OREANDA-NEWS Starting from January 1, 2026, Moldova will completely abandon the interstate GOST standard, and European analogues will be used instead, Economy Minister Doina Nistor said on Thursday.
"We have adopted and transposed more than 38,000 European standards. Starting from January 1, 2026, we will finally abandon GOST standards, which will be an important step towards full integration into the European market," Nistor told reporters.
According to her, the rejection of GOST standards is related to access to the European Union market and the free movement of goods. The Minister believes that the implementation of these measures reflects the ability of the national economy to function within the framework of the European Union market.
