OREANDA-NEWS The Estonian Parliament has passed a law banning the display of symbols associated with military aggression. It is reported by Delfi, according to Lenta.ru.

It is noted that it is prohibited open demonstration of symbols used in an act of aggression, genocide, crime against humanity or war crimes, to support or justify these crimes. Individuals face a fine of €1.2 thousand (about 100 thousand rubles) or arrest, while legal entities - a fine of up to €32 thousand (more than 2.5 million rubles).

The law also introduces punishment for joining the army or other armed organization of a foreign state, committing an act of aggression, as well as for knowingly supporting such aggression, including funding. The punishment will be imprisonment for up to five years.

Earlier, the Estonian police reported that a temporary ban on public meetings with the use of St. George ribbons, Russian and Soviet flags and Soviet military uniforms was being introduced in the country.
