OREANDA-NEWS Due to high demand, Melodiya resumed the production of vinyl records at its own factory in Novosibirsk. This was announced by the press service of the legendary Soviet brand.

It is noted that the first record of the new production was "Autogenic training for alcohol abusers", developed by doctors of the Yalta sanatorium in the 1980s. The party also includes the release "On the wave of my Memory" by David Tukhmanov, the album Disco Alliance by Zodiac and the album VIA Dos Mukasan.

"For a long time, the main factory in the country was Aprelevka, the legendary Soviet production of Melodiya. And it is very important for us that at the stage of launching vinyl production, Badri Devishev, the chief engineer of the April plant, was next to us," commented Andrey Krichevsky, CEO of Melody. The release also says that the company plans to expand the line and release records on orders from artists and music companies.

From 1964 to the early 1990s, Melodiya was the only record label in the country. After the collapse of the USSR, it was first made a creative and production association, and later transformed into a FSUE. In 2017, Melody became a joint-stock company, the sole owner of which was the Federal Property Management Agency. Three years later, 100 percent of the shares of JSC "Firm Melody" were bought out by LLC "Formax" at auction for 329.6 million rubles.
