OREANDA-NEWS  Approximately eight million Russians cannot travel abroad because of unpaid debts. The number of compatriots with the current ban on leaving the country was named by experts of Kommersant with reference to the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP).

According to the agency, in 2022, the number of debtors in Russia with exit restrictions has almost doubled compared to 2021, the figure has also become a record for the last 15 years. So, in 2019, bailiffs issued 2.6 million temporary orders banning Russians from leaving the country, in 2021 - 3.8 million. Most often, non-payers of loans, alimony, fines and housing and communal services are not allowed to travel.

According to the National Association of Professional Collection Agencies, most often married men and women from 30 to 35 years old become debtors in a 50-50 ratio, whose average income is from 30 to 60 thousand rubles per month. Among those who are not punctual in payments more often than others are nine percent of drivers, 8.5 percent are sellers, six percent are workers (locksmiths, installers and movers). Doctors and teachers are the least likely to delay the payment of loans.
