OREANDA-NEWS As part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on June 4 and 6, 2026, Rambler &Co's Executive Director of Media, Andrey Tsyper, participated in two thematic sections. These discussions focus not only on technology and media, but also on broader issues of inter-institutional cooperation and the protection of vulnerable audiences.
The discussion "Digital Children, who is responsible for you?" with the participation of Andrey Tsyper, organized by the Center for Global IT Cooperation, was devoted to modern online risks for children and adolescents - from cyberbullying and communicating with strangers to the leakage of personal information and the general vulnerability of minors in the digital environment. The speakers discussed the distribution of responsibility between the government, technology companies, educational institutions, parents, and the platforms themselves, through which children consume content and build communication.
"Today, with a high level of Internet penetration, we still face an insufficient level of digital literacy among both children and adults. Rambler&Co media holding is trying to draw public attention to these problems and implements a fairly large number of educational projects, including with the support of the Institute for Internet Development, aimed at preventing possible fraudulent activities," said Andrey Tsyper.
Together with the Speaker, representatives of the government, business and the public community took part in the discussion: Tatyana Matveeva, Head of the Presidential Administration for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies and Communications Infrastructure, Rustam Khaibullov, Vice President for Strategic Projects at VK, Elizaveta Belyakova, Chairman of the Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment, as well as representatives of Yandex, Kaspersky Lab, Gazprom-Media Holding, NMG and others.
As Chairman of the Public Council at Rossotrudnichestvo, Andrey Tsyper spoke at the session "Synergy of business and government agencies as an effective mechanism for humanitarian policy in the field of international relations."
The conversation focused on how government agencies, businesses, and public institutions can jointly build sustainable humanitarian mechanisms on the international agenda, from cultural and educational projects to long—term cooperation programs aimed at strengthening ties between countries.
According to Tsyper, media participation is of particular importance in this context: digital communication platforms help not only to talk about such initiatives, but also to build trust around them, an understandable public language and a long-term effect.
"Russia has developed a huge number of areas, the products of which we can export to our partners and friends in the international arena. For example, we have extensive experience in the volunteer movement, which allows us to help colleagues quickly and effectively. It is a soft power that supports business objectives and socio-humanitarian areas of cooperation," said Andrey Tsyper.
Andrey Tsyper's participation in these sections complemented his program at SPIEF 2026 with topics related to social sustainability and the role of media in solving not only industry but also social challenges. While previous discussions focused on trust in information, the limits of AI, and the future of journalism, here the focus has shifted to how to build responsible partnerships and how to protect people in an environment where digital threats are becoming part of everyday life.
