OREANDA-NEWS The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is considering the possibility of freezing Iran's assets. This is reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing sources.
"The United Arab Emirates is considering the possibility of freezing billions of dollars worth of Iranian assets stored in this Persian Gulf state," the publication says.
According to the newspaper, this step could "block one of the most important economic arteries of Tehran," limiting its access to global trade networks. In addition, it would affect Iran's domestic economy, which has already been affected by the war.
Earlier it was reported that the UAE is considering the possibility of conducting military operations against Iran in response to missile and drone attacks on targets located in the country.
