Trump: US and China Work Closely on Situation around the Coronavirus

OREANDA-NEWS. US President Donald Trump on Friday after a telephone conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping said that Washington and Beijing are cooperating in the fight against a new type of coronavirus.
According to Johns Hopkins University, which makes calculations based on data from federal and local authorities, more than 85 thousand cases of infection with a new coronavirus have been recorded in the United States - more than in any other country. More than 1.2 thousand people died.
The outbreak caused by the new coronavirus disease was recorded at the end of 2019 in Central China, later spreading to more than 150 countries and was recognized by the World Health Organization as a pandemic. According to the latest data, over 457 thousand people were infected in the world, more than 21 thousand deaths were recorded. In Russia, 840 cases of infection were registered, 38 people were cured and discharged from hospitals, two people died.
