OREANDA-NEWS. Unaccounted economy of Russia amounted to 11.7 trillion rubles.  (12.7% of GDP) in 2017, follows from the data of Rosstat.  The largest share of hidden products falls on real estate, agriculture, trade and construction.

 It is noted that the share of the hidden economy in GDP is declining.  For example, in 2014 it was equal to 13.8 percent of GDP, and in 2015-2016 - 13.2 percent.  At the same time, its absolute volume remains approximately the same: from 10.9 trillion rubles.  in 2014 to 11.4 trillion rubles.  in 2016.

 The largest share of hidden products falls on real estate, agriculture, trade and construction.  Thus, real estate accounts for 6.3% of GDP or half of the country's gray economy.

 According to experts, the Russians are leaving for the informal economy, as they seek to avoid excessive government regulation and high taxes.  In addition, in the official sector there are no offers to work with high salaries, so the Russians are looking for opportunities to make money in informal activities.
