OREANDA-NEWS. Residents of remote and sparsely populated areas of Russia will be able to pay through the cashiers of stores housing and communal services.  Sberbank is working on such an opportunity, said Svetlana Kirsanova, deputy chairman of the bank’s board.

 This service allows Russians to have access to cash where there are no ATMs.  The service will be implemented on the basis of Sberbank acquiring in partnership with trading companies.

 Sberbank also provided an opportunity for residents of sparsely populated regions of Russia to withdraw cash at store cash desks.  So, Russians who have debit cards of a Visa and Mastercard systems bank can withdraw up to five thousand rubles from July with any purchase in one of the networks.

 A new service for online payment of housing and communal services in April was also launched by Russian Post.  The postal operator’s website features over 3,000 utility providers.  By the end of 2019, it is planned to launch the possibility of paying for housing and communal services in Russian cities using a quick payment system.
