OREANDA-NEWS. Russian banks refuse to receive credit holidays in at least half of customer applications. Writes about this "Kommersant", referring to messages from credit institutions.

The banks shared that in the first month of the entry into force of amendments to the law on credit holidays, tens of thousands of Russians filed relevant applications. However, only 30-50% of all applications were satisfied on average.

The Central Bank confirmed that they have already begun to receive complaints from borrowers who cannot receive credit holidays, but their number is still insignificant.

The main reason for refusing to provide a loan holiday is that the loan itself does not fit the terms of the program. In particular, we are talking about exceeding the maximum possible amount, which is established by law, or income has decreased by less than 30%.

Experts noted that the law on granting credit holidays needs to be adjusted. In addition, it is quite difficult to get holidays for those who wrote a letter of resignation of their own free will, since they do not have confirmation that they are unemployed. There are also difficulties in confirming a decrease in income, since the majority of the population has a fixed salary, which on average is a quarter of earnings, and everything else is bonuses.

Vacations can be obtained on consumer loans in the amount of up to 300 thousand rubles. For car loans, the limit is 700 thousand, for credit cards - 100 thousand. For mortgages in Moscow, the loan amount should not exceed 6 million rubles, in the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and the regions included in the Far Eastern Federal District - 4 million, for the Leningrad region and other regions - 3 mln.
