OREANDA-NEWS  As part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), the Lipetsk Region signed more than 20 cooperation agreements with a total investment of more than 55 billion rubles in new projects, said Igor Artamonov, Governor of the region.

According to him, five new factories will be built in the Lipetsk special economic zone, and the current resident announced the expansion of the production complex. In the Yelets region, the cultivation of flowers on an industrial basis will begin in the coming years. And in the capital of the region, a new centrifugal casting complex will be created for the production of pipes with large diameters up to 1.2 thousand millimeters. Two new hotels will also be built, and the Lipetsk Resort will be reconstructed.

Artamonov noted that in addition to economic projects, agreements have been signed aimed at the development of education, training and interregional cooperation. All this will create a total of more than 1,8 thousand new jobs and strengthen the human capital of the region.

"SPIEF 2025 has confirmed that the Lipetsk Region is a territory of opportunity. Our achievements, new investments and partnerships pave the way for the further development of the region," Artamonov said.
