OREANDA-NEWS. Elena Bibikova, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, said that the increase in the pensions of non-working pensioners after indexation by 8.6% would amount to an average of 1.4 thousand rubles. TASS reports.

“If we said that the indexation of 5.9% is an average of 1,000 rubles. increase (with indexing by 8.6%) it (increase) will be higher, of course, somewhere around 1,400 rubles. I suppose that the indexation will take place from January 1, 2022, because the pension, according to the law, should be indexed from January 1, "Bibikova said.

According to her, if the pension is higher than the average, then the increase after indexation will be higher.
