OREANDA-NEWS Four-time Olympic biathlon champion Alexander Tikhonov expressed disappointment with the size of his pension. This is reported by Sport24.
The former athlete noted that, despite winning the Games, he receives 52 thousand rubles a month. "Count how many of us there are per capita. 0.002 percent is just that. And the Olympic pension is only 52 thousand," Tikhonov said.
He also spoke about the pension of the former head of Rusnano, Anatoly Chubais, which, according to Tikhonov, amounts to 500 thousand rubles per month. "I can't say for sure, but they say it's true," Tikhonov added.
Earlier, three-time Olympic figure skating champion and State Duma deputy Irina Rodnina said that Russians need to become independent in the matter of future pensions. She noted that "a pension is not a salary, but an old—age benefit."
