OREANDA-NEWS  The decision on the change of taxation for the Russians who have left should be balanced, "the main thing here is not to harm," Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said, RBC reports.

He said that, in general, the Cabinet of Ministers has not yet decided on its position. "If we make special taxation arrangements, we can create conditions when business is not interested in paying to the Russian budget. People who have left may become non-residents and will not pay anything at all. They will register the company abroad, and they will provide services on the territory of Russia," Siluanov warned.

Another option that the authorities are considering is to introduce a tax amendment that will allow providing certain services from abroad on the territory of Russia and paying taxes here.

The speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin on December 25 called for the abolition of preferences for Russians who left the country and to introduce an increased tax rate for them.
