OREANDA-NEWS  The total debt by January 1, 2023 for taxes and fees, insurance premiums, penalties, tax sanctions and interest in Russia amounted to 2.5 trillion rubles. 

It is noted that the indicator increased by 545 billion rubles (or 27.5 percent) year on year. The publication stressed that the federal budget deficit, in turn, reached 3.3 trillion rubles in 2022.

The conclusion of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy clarifies that the debt increases for VAT, corporate income tax, non-payment of current payments by individual legal entities, as well as payments for the use of natural resources.

Earlier it became known that last year Russia's revenues on bilateral government loans were four times less than expected — instead of the planned 48.7 billion rubles, the volume of payments amounted to about 11 billion rubles.
