OREANDA-NEWS The State Duma adopted in the final third reading a bill to increase the minimum wage from 16,242 rubles to 19,242 rubles (by 18.5 percent), Interfax reports.

Thus, this important indicator for the country's economy, on which the amount of maternity benefits, sick leave and other payments depends, will grow by exactly three thousand rubles from January 1, 2024.

On the eve of November 15, the State Duma adopted in the second reading the draft federal budget for 2024 and for the planning period 2025-2026. Deputies together with the government have prepared more than 900 amendments to it, which redistribute almost 7 trillion rubles.
