The Turkish lira has updated the historical minimum

OREANDA-NEWS The value of the Turkish lira against the dollar has updated the historical minimum and for the first time overcame the psychological mark of 27 lira per dollar, according to the auction data.
As of 12.04 Moscow time, the dollar exchange rate against the Turkish lira rose to 27.0075 lira per dollar from the previous closing level of 26.3486.
Such dynamics is observed on the eve of the decision on the key rate of the Central Bank of Turkey, which is due to be made public on Thursday.
The Central Bank of Turkey said in June that it would continue to gradually tighten monetary policy until the inflation forecast improves significantly. On June 22, the regulator raised the key rate for the first time in more than two years - to 15% from 8.5%, and analysts expected it at 21%.
