OREANDA-NEWS  After poisoning with low-quality botox, 28 women were hospitalized in the city of Peterley (Britain). This is reported by the BBC.

According to one of the victims, 36-year-old Kaylee Bailey, she received three Botox injections for half the price than usual, and felt unwell immediately. "My eyes stung a lot, they were watering," the woman recalls. After a few days, she began to see poorly. Doctors recommended that she rest, but Bailey's condition worsened at home.

After hospitalization, it turned out that she had botulism, a rare but life—threatening disease caused by a bacterium. At the hospital, Bailey stopped breathing and needed intensive care. Bailey spent three days there and underwent treatment. Cosmetologist Gemma Gray, who performed the procedure, told the woman that the problem with the product was nationwide.

At the same time, 27 more women with signs of botulinum toxin poisoning applied to hospitals in the city of Peterley, all of them turned to Gray. It turned out that the woman injected the patients with a type of botulinum toxin banned in Britain, an ingredient used in legal products such as botox. An investigation is underway against the cosmetologist.
