OREANDA-NEWS Acceptance of applications for a special state support program for transportation along international transport corridors will begin on February 28 at 09.00 (Moscow time). Logistics companies will be able to receive compensation for discounts they provide for the transportation of industrial and agricultural products along priority international transport corridors to Latin America and Africa, the Russian Export Center (VEB.RF Group) reports.
"The relevant decision was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. Russian Export Center (VEB GroupThe Russian Federation) acts as an agent of the government implementing this support measure. Applications for state support will be accepted in the State Information System of Industry (GISP).
The specialists of the Russian Export Center will tell you in detail about the rules and procedure for obtaining cost compensation on February 27 at 10.00 (Moscow time) at a free webinar.
"The new measure is aimed at providing exporters with cheap and regular logistics services. This applies to routes to priority friendly countries, where the supply of products, taking into account their remoteness, was economically unjustified. We hope that this measure will allow us to expand the presence of Russian industrial and agro-industrial products in new regions that are promising for Russian exports," said Roman Chekushov, State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
Carriers will be able to compensate the amount of the discount they provided to the exporting company. State support will be provided on a competitive basis.
Russian logistics companies providing services for the sea transportation of products in containers along international routes from seaports of the Baltic Sea or the Azov-Black Sea basin located on the territory of the Russian Federation to ports of priority countries will be able to apply for support. Such countries in 2025 include Nicaragua, Senegal, Venezuela, Brazil, Cuba, South Africa and Tanzania.
