OREANDA-NEWS Political analyst and professor Tuomas Malinen said that Finland's anti-Russian policy has caused negative consequences for the country itself. He wrote about this on the social network X.
Malinen revealed the consequences of sanctions against Russia and stressed that the measures had caused an increase in unemployment in the country.
"Did you know that the unemployment rate in Finland is 12.5? Just think about it. All because of our membership in the eurozone and our deranged leadership imposing sanctions against Russia," he said indignantly.
The expert added that the unemployment rate in Russia is much lower — 2.2 percent. He added that at the same time, Finnish President Alexander Stubb boasts that "the Russian economy is collapsing."
Earlier, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, called on the EU to adopt sanctions against Russia. "As the threats grow, so will our pressure. I urge EU leaders to promptly approve our 19th package of sanctions," she said.
