OREANDA-NEWS The authorities of the Kherson region are likely to hold a referendum on joining Russia, Kirill Stremousov, the deputy head of the military-civilian administration of the region, said to reporters. He supposes that the referendum will be held on the territory of the Kherson region, and will serve as self-determination of the region. The next stage will be elections, which will be held directly on the territory of the liberated Kherson region.

The deputy head of the military-civilian administration also said that the first Russian bank has already opened in the Kherson region. According to him, residents will be able to open their own bank accounts in the next month and a half. In future, there will be more branches of several Russian banks. However, Stremousov did not specify what financial institutions are in question.


Stremousov noted that at the moment, everything is going in an experimental format, the banks are only starting to work. Taking into account the sanctions that are now being introduced, of course, all these banks are on the Russian platform. He also added that the bigger part of the region has already switched to the Russian Internet.
