OREANDA-NEWS The unification of most of the post-Soviet space into a close union with an emphasis on collective security and economic integration is inevitable in the next 15 years, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said in an interview for the YouTube channel "Solovyov Live".

Lukashenko noted that the future close unification of Belarus with Russia must necessarily be a union of "sovereign", but "not independent" states. That is, with the preservation of the anthem, flag and leadership, but possibly with a common currency. At the same time, he admitted that Belarus cannot be independent from Russia, because it is dependent on its energy resources and market.

"By all means, it is already visible now — a common defense space. We already see it, and Kazakhstan has already proved it...", - said Lukashenko.

He added that Belarus is already in this common "security space", and Kazakhstan has also been shown a "good lesson".

"Armenia has nowhere to go. Do you think someone needs them? They've already seen it. Azerbaijan is getting out of this cohort because we have also made a lot of mistakes. And there, of course, Turkey strongly supports Azerbaijan, there are routes through Turkey, gas and oil. And Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, I think, due to their economic necessity, will also join," Lukashenko added.

Earlier it became known that Lukashenko expressed disappointment in Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. He called him "headless" "due to the fact that under him Ukraine lost its own will and began to act based on the wishes of the West.
