OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided to form the presidium of the Board of the Military-Industrial Commission (MIC) of the Russian Federation. As stated in the decree of the head of state, the decision was made to improve the activities of the military-industrial complex.

As stated in the document, the presidium is entrusted with "the authority to make operational decisions aimed at ensuring the implementation of tasks and functions assigned to the jurisdiction of the Board of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation."

The decree included in the commission, in particular, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Yuri Trutnev, plenipotentiary representatives of the President of the Russian Federation of all eight federal districts, as well as the head of the Main Directorate of Special Programs of the President (GUSP) Alexander Linets.

Colonel-General Vasily Tonkoshkurov was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Military Industrial Complex, and Professor of the Academy of Military Sciences Andrey Tyulin was appointed chairman of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Military Industrial Complex.

Mikhail Mikhailov, head of the FSB Scientific and Technical Service, is also included in the board of the commission. At the same time, the former head of the FSB Scientific and Technical Service Eduard Chernovoltsev was excluded from the Military Industrial Complex board.
