OREANDA-NEWS   Russia and China have signed an intergovernmental agreement on gas supplies via the Far Eastern route.

The draft law on the ratification of the document, prepared by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, was posted on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts.

The agreement primarily concerns the construction and operation of an underwater crossing over the Ussuri River in the area of the Russian Dalnerechensk and the Chinese Khulin.

A long-term contract for the export of 10 billion cubic meters of gas per year along the "Far Eastern" route was signed by Gazprom and the Chinese National Oil and Gas Company in early February 2022. After the implementation of the project, the total volume of the company's supplies should increase to 48 billion cubic meters.
