OREANDA-NEWS  VTsIOM has published a study on how Russians assess the availability of Internet access services. According to the study, the vast majority of respondents (76 percent) would like to choose a provider on their own. And 66 percent believe that at the request of any of the residents, the provider, if it is present in the area, should appear in the house.

57 percent of respondents were forced to connect to a provider that was already present in the house. And 51 percent of those who tried to first study the offers on the market, and then connect to the selected operator, faced the inability to implement this scenario: the operator was not present in the house. According to the current rules, in order for the operator to be able to provide services in an apartment building, it is required to hold a general meeting of the owners of residential premises and support the decision by at least 2/3 of the votes.

But only 26 percent of all respondents take part in the residents' meeting on a regular basis, 35 percent of respondents attended them occasionally (1-2 times).

The question of who is currently deciding on the admission of providers to apartment buildings caused difficulties for 50 percent of respondents, the option "management company" was chosen by 27 percent.
