OREANDA-NEWS  Russians in mid-January began to order vegetables and fruits much more often, and the demand for the services of nutritionists increased by 43% compared to December, according to data from the online delivery service "Sbermarket".

"After the traditional feasts with a lot of fatty foods, the residents of the country preferred to buy healthy food and organic products. In mid—January, compared with the beginning of the month, Russians began to buy fruits by 22% more often and vegetables by almost 30%," according to a joint study with the online medical service Sberbank.

In addition, people began to regularly add dairy products (48% of all orders), eggs (20%) and water (17%) to baskets. Also in the week after the holidays, sales of products from the categories "Sugar-free sweets" and "Healthy choice" increased by 30%. At the same time, the demand for alcohol, sugar-containing sweets, mayonnaise and carbonated drinks slowed down - in mid-January, compared with the beginning of the month, it decreased by an average of 9%.
