OREANDA-NEWS  A resident of the Perm Territory has been detained in connection with preparations for a terrorist attack on the Chusovsky Railway bridge of the Sverdlovsk Railway, the FSB Public Relations Center (PSC) reported.

"The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, with the forceful support of the Rosgvardiya, prevented a terrorist act planned by the Ukrainian special services on the Chusovsky railway bridge of the Sverdlovsk Railway," the DSP said.

A Russian citizen was detained in the city of Chusovoy, who, under the influence of telephone fraudsters, transferred 350 thousand rubles to allegedly "secure accounts".

"Further, on the instructions of the attackers, posing as law enforcement officers and special services, under the pretext of assisting in the return of funds, he manufactured an improvised explosive device in order to commit a terrorist act as part of an ongoing check of the anti-terrorist security of transport infrastructure facilities in the Perm Region," the special service said.

According to the FSB, 10 kg of explosives, components for making explosive devices, as well as a webcam intended for monitoring the railway bridge were found and seized at the detainee's home.

The Investigative Department of the Federal Security Service for the Perm Region has opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 222.1 ("Illegal trafficking in explosives or explosive devices") of the Criminal Code.

"Evidence is being collected in order to qualify the actions of the person involved under Articles 30, 205 ("Preparation for a terrorist act") and Article 223.1 ("Illegal manufacture of explosives or explosive devices") THE Criminal Code OF THE Russian Federation.
