OREANDA-NEWS  There is no discussion in the Kremlin about the introduction of any measures against Russians who left the country during the period of partial mobilization, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said. So he commented on the words of the head of the Committee on state construction and constitutional legislation of the Federation Council, Andrei Klishas, who allowed the development of legislative measures designed to make staying abroad "less comfortable" for those who left.

"There are no discussions in the Kremlin on this matter," Dmitry Peskov said at a press call in response to a question from Kommersant FM. He also refused to answer the question about which strategy for working with Russians who have left seems more appropriate in the Kremlin.

On the eve of Senator Andrei Klishas admitted that the authorities may impose restrictions against Russians who left during the period of partial mobilization. According to him, this may affect those who live abroad, but still work for Russian companies. He believes that these measures will make "being abroad less comfortable." Mr. Klishas did not specify what measures, in his opinion, could be introduced. Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Finance Maksut Shadaev spoke about the program for the return of IT specialists to Russia.

In autumn, many Russians left Russia due to the announcement of partial mobilization on September 21. The exact number of Russians who left is unknown. According to Forbes sources, from 700 thousand to 1 million people could leave the country. According to the FSB of Russia, 9.7 million citizens left Russia in the third quarter of 2022 (from July to September), almost twice as many as in the second quarter (5 million from April to June).
