OREANDA-NEWS  Russia considers Tajikistan as a reliable and close partner, and Moscow is committed to further strengthening bilateral ties with Dushanbe, Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Semyon Grigoriev said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"I assess the level of political cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan as high and stable. Our relations are of the nature of a strategic partnership and alliance, based on a solid legal framework, mutual respect and consideration of each other's interests," he said.

According to the senior diplomat, an important confirmation of the special nature of bilateral ties was the state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Tajikistan in October this year, which gave an additional impetus to the development of the entire range of Russian-Tajik relations.
