OREANDA-NEWS A magistrate in Moscow has imposed an administrative fine of 10 million rubles to Match Group, which manages the Tinder service, for repeated failure to comply with the requirement to localize the data of Russian citizens in Russia, an Interfax correspondent reported.

The corresponding resolution was announced by the magistrate of the judicial precinct No. 422 of the Tagansky district of Moscow Timur Vakhrameev.

The maximum penalty for such an offense is 18 million rubles.

As follows from the case materials announced in court, on July 21, a protocol was drawn up against the company in connection with the offense revealed on June 2. According to the protocol, in May Match Group was notified of the need to comply with the requirements of Russian legislation, to which, as indicated in Roskomnadzor, the company responded in July, but not in substance.

Representatives of Match Group did not participate in the court session.

For the first time, Match Group was fined by a magistrate for refusing to post data of Russians in Russia in July 2022. The amount of the fine was 2 million rubles.

Tinder stopped working in Russia on June 30, 2023.
