OREANDA-NEWS. American film director Quentin Tarantino has compiled a list of the 11 best movies of all time. The rating was published by Far Out Magazine.

The list includes westerns The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (directed by Sergio Leone, 1966), Rio Bravo (Howard Hawks, 1959), thriller Blow out (Brian De Palma, 1981), drama Taxi Driver (Martin Scorsese, 1976), romantic comedy His Girl Friday (Howard Hawks, 1940), action movie King Boxer (Jeong Chang-hwa, 1972), silent film Pandora’s Box (Georg Wilhelm Pabst, 1929), horror film Carrie (Brian De Palma, 1976), comedy Unfaithfully Yours (Preston Sturges, 1948), spy film Five Graves to Cairo (Billy Wilder, 1943), and horror movie Jaws (Steven Spielberg, 1975).

“When it comes to the filmmakers of the 1960s that mean the most to filmmakers of the 1990s and 2000s, I believe that Leone is pointing the way towards modern filmmaking,” Tarantino noted.
