OREANDA-NEWS. June 28, 2016. Amazon wants to give teachers a leg up.

The online giant on Monday unveiled Amazon Inspire, a program that provides educators with the ability to upload, categorize and share resources, peer-review the content and create collections of those files to streamline and improve lesson planning. Amazon is among many tech heavy-hitters to dabble in education, with Apple and Google each offering tools for the classroom.

Amazon Inspire, in its beta stage, is available to teachers across the nation, and it will grow in the coming months. The program part of the company's vow to support the #GoOpen campaign, the US Department of Education's initiative to boost open educational resources.
