OREANDA-NEWS. Citing a valuable, 30-year partnership, the City of Duncan voted unanimously to extend a contract with CH2M to provide operations management services for the city during the next 10.5 years. The scope of work includes day-to-day oversight and operations of the City’s wastewater treatment facility.

During the city council meeting, the CH2M team outlined the complexity of operating the 4.5-million gallon per day wastewater treatment plant, the East City lift station and 38 irrigation pivot sites, while maintaining the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality’s permit and requirements. City officials unanimously agreed that it would be in the best interest of the City and residents to stay with a trusted team.

CH2M has been the sole provider of operations management services for the City of Duncan and its 24,000 residents since 1995. The team of four also manages the industrial pre-treatment program in the small city. Prior to 1995, CH2M worked with Duncan as a public works consultant starting in 1986.
