OREANDA-NEWS  The Chinese Honor corporation has promised to introduce a record-thin folding smartphone. This was stated by the head of the company, Li Kun, in his blog on Weibo.

According to Kun, many people ask him when Honor will release a new folding phone. The top manager of the IT giant said that the device will be released in the first half of the year. He also noted that the new device will again turn out to be a record-breaking thin folding device.

The current Honor Magic V3 folding smartphone has a body thickness of 9.2 millimeters. PhoneArena journalists noticed that for a while it was the thinnest folding phone on the market, until the Oppo Find N5 was released. The Oppo device has a folded case thickness of 8.93 millimeters. Most likely, the new Honor device will be called Magic V5.

Media journalists have suggested that the difference between competitive devices will be a few millimeters. They predicted that the Magic V5's body would be about 8.9 millimeters thick.

The authors of PhoneArena also stated that the new Honor folding device will receive a battery with a capacity of 5,950 milliampere-hours. For comparison, the Magic V3 had a battery with a capacity of 5,150 milliampere-hours.
