OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian government is discussing systemic measures to support the domestic video game industry until 2030 with the possibility of allocating up to $50 billion under the most ambitious scenario. Kommersant writes about this, referring to the materials for the meeting on measures to support the Russian video game industry.

As part of the "stabilization scenario", the Russian gaming industry should recover by 2030 and $7 billion will be allocated for these purposes. Under the "ambitious scenario", where a certain breakthrough in the industry should occur, $20 billion will be allocated. However, the largest "leadership scenario" will require $50 billion. And in this case, Russian game studios should already compete with world industry leaders.

The document indicated that by 2030, Russian studios should release at least 25 AAA games (high-quality projects with a budget of 6.5 billion rubles each) and a number of other projects for consoles and computers. In addition, it is planned to create new domestic consoles. Also, the number of employees who are employed in the industry should be 40 thousand people, and five "game dev cities" will appear in Russia.

Market experts considered that now there are only a dozen studios left in Russia that can produce AAA projects. Most of the companies have gone abroad, and new ones have yet to be founded, and it will take at least several years to create new high-quality products. Therefore, it is better to focus on maintaining the motivation of those who remain in the Russian market.

In mid-October, Russian developers presented a draft of the first domestic program that allows managing all business processes in a single digital workspace.
