In Ulyanovsk it will be assembled buses on the chassis Isuzu

OREANDA-NEWS. Within the framework of the International Industrial Exhibition «INNOPROM», which was held in Yekaterinburg, it was signed a memorandum about intents to produce small-class buses on the Isuzu chassis, reported the press service of ISUZU RUS LLC. This agreement was signed by the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Sergey Morozov, General Director of JSC «ISUZU RUS», Fabris Gorlie and Director of Development of LLC «SIMAZ», Sergei Polbin.
Buses on the Isuzu ELF 9.5 chassis will be assembled at the facilities of the production complex «SIMAZ» in Ulyanovsk with the usage of its own components. It should be noted that the company «SIMAZ» carries out the production and sale of trucks, buses and car bodies. The volume of production can be up to 500 buses in the first year. The start of sales is planned for the end of 2017 - beginning of 2018. Sales will be carried out through dealer networks of both companies. At the moment, there is a discussion about the entering to the market of two modifications at once - urban and intercity buses of small class.
Recall that JSC «ISUZU RUS» (former CJSC «SOLLERS-ISUZU») is the official manufacturer and distributor of the Isuzu automobile brand in Russia. Production facilities of JSC «ISUZU RUS» are located in Ulyanovsk. The company's field of activity is the production and sale of the Isuzu commercial vehicle range with a total weight of 3.5 to 33 tons through a dealer network in Russia, which currently has more than 50 dealer centers. In 2016, «ISUZU RUS» produced 2,322 trucks, which is less by 3.5% than a year before.
