OREANDA-NEWS. According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", the most popular cars in the market of new cars in Moscow are crossovers and SUVs. So, they have sold 42.8 thousand units by the end of the first half of 2016 - 2% less than in the same period of the last year. As a consequence, the market share of the SUV segment in the capital was 44%, while a year ago it was 43%.

In the second place by the preferences of buyers of the capital there is located the cars of B-class, the market volume of which for 6 months of this year grew by 14% up to 24.6 thousand units. As a result, the share of the segment in the Moscow market grew to 25%, although a year ago it was 21.5%.

The third position in the capital market is occupied by C-Class cars with 12.9 thousand units (-15%), which is equivalent to the share of 13%. The fourth line of the rating is occupied by the D segment, the share of which was 8.5% or 8.3 thousand units in quantitative terms (-1%).
