OREANDA-NEWS. May 7, 2007.  OJSC CenterTelecom (OTC: CRMUY.PK; MICEX: CTLK, CTLKP; RTS: ESMO, ESMOP), the major provider of fixed-line telecommunications services in the Central Federal District of Russia, reports that it has begun accepting payments for telecommunications services through CyberPlat, the leading electronic payments system in Russia. This development has become possible after conclusion of an agreement with Platina Bank, the Russian bank which developed the CyberPlat system.
 
Acceptance of payments through CyberPlat will be possible in major shopping centers, bank offices, filling stations, supermarkets, telecommunications centers and payment centers. CenterTelecom affiliates will be connected with the system stage-by-stage. This process will be completed by the end of this year. Currently more than 3,000 Cyberplat centers are operating in the Central Federal District.
 
Wider payment capabilities will allow CenterTelecom subscribers to pay for services in convenient locations situated near home or office. Bill payment without additional commission will be the main advantage of CyberPlat system for the company’s customers.
 
Sergei Nazarov, Deputy General Director, Commercial Director, CenterTelecom, said that payment acceptance through CyberPlat is the company’s next step in  improving of the quality and speed of services to CenterTelecom subscribers.  “Improvement of the servicing system is one of the most important directions of CenterTelecom’s development aimed at offering the most convenient and efficient payment means to our customers,” Mr. Nazarov said.
