OREANDA-NEWS. Aeroflot - Russian Airlines' revenue grew 13,53% to RUR71,353bn (approx. USD2,77bn) in 2006 compared to the year before, the company's press office reported.

Aeroflot's net profit reached RUR7,981bn (approx. USD310m) (up 32,31%). Pre-tax profit amounted to RUR11,432bn (approx. USD444m). In 2006, Aeroflot transported 7,29m passengers, 8,7% more than a year earlier.

Passenger traffic grew 8% to 22,406bn passenger-kilometers. Seat occupancy stood at 70,1% and the payload factor at 57,7%. Aeroflot's cargo traffic reached 2,885m tonne-kilometers, which is a 5,4-% increase on 2005.
