OREANDA-NEWS. On 5 August 2007, Russian railway workers will celebrate the Day of Railway Worker, their annual national holiday, at the Central Park of Culture and Recreation in Moscow.

Representatives of the press are invited to take part in the various festivities to be held all over the Central Park.

Among the attractions will be some of Russia’s top entertainers, a skating rink, circus and other rail-related themes and attractions, as well as sport events for both children and adults. The final of the Company’s football cup will also be transmitted live to the park. The celebrations begin at 12:00.

Vladimir Yakunin, president of Russian Railways, will give a press conference at 13:30 on the Company’s results for 2006 at a specially organised press centre.

In the evening, a fireworks display and a gala concert will also take place in the park, with stars from the Russian stage taking part.
